Oct. 11 - Our "Adventures in Cooking" Cookbook Book Club had another amazing menu, this time from the Bought, Borrowed & Stolen cookbook.  We had everything from Snail & Spinach Quiche to Peanut Brittle.  Earth Fare brought some goodies too, and did a talk about healthy foods.

 Oct. 9 - At author Susan Snowden's talk on her novel Southern Fried Lies, Seasons Restaurant provided wonderful desserts, wine, and coffee (I had the pumpkin cheesecake with pralines, and a cabernet).

 Pictured left is a portion of our Flavia de Luce Mystery Book Club.  What an intelligent, well-read, and lovely group of women.  I love these guys!

9/22/2012 - Today we celebrated Bilbo Baggins' Birthday with cupcakes by The Cupcake Place, previewing the new trailer of "The Hobbit" (sent to us courtesy of Warner Brothers), and playing Hobbit trivia.   Pictured right is Erica from Dancing Bear, and an envoy from Gandalf.

The recipe for them is in Laurie Bakke's Cookbook, and folks, they are wonderful!!
